My Amazing Pendant!

HIIIIIIIIIIUUUUUUUIIUUIUIUUOU.jpg
This is my beautiful necklace I created at Hard Materials technology. We did it in Mr Grundy’s workshop at Tamaki College. I created it for my mum for her birthday. It was great fun working on it. It took a lot of time but I finally got to finish my pendant today.
I hope my mum likes her necklace.

Mobile Phones Allowed On Aeroplanes! :)

Summary:
Qantas and Virgin airlines  are letting people use cell phones on planes. Air  New Zealand  isn't sure yet. They said that the new law was created today.
Comment:
I think this is great for people who love their phones and they can finish their work things on the aeroplane.

Job Offer For Eating CHOCOLATE!

In Cambridge University a doctor is trying to make chocolate not melt. He’s trying to get chocolate testers. In August 29 he’ll start finding people.

I think this is great for people who love chocolate and people get to eat lots of it. I wish I could be a chocolate tester/taster!

Milk LOVER!

Sandra Heap loves milk. She drinks 20 cups of it! The thing is drinking all the milk means she’s overweight. She’s now trying to stop.

I think she has to get over milk. She’s been drinking too much of it and it’s good she’s trying to stop.

$2,000,000 Dollar Comic Book?!

A rare superman comic book is worth over $2,000,000. The bidding on E Bay is still going. They say there are only 50 to 100 copies left in the world.

I think it’s weird that a comic book can be worth up to $2,000,000. The person that put it on E Bay must be happy.

BIG Giant Squid Found!

A giant squid was found in Antarctica. Fishing vessels found it and took it to Te Papa’s museum. They say the species is very rare.
squid I think that this is sad for the giant squid but great for scientist. They get to study on a very rare species.

A Weird Invention For A Weird Reason?

An odd invention in Korea made many people interested in what it can do. Was this necessary?

The weird creation called Trongs caught the eye of hundreds of people, but was it really necessary? They help you pick up food without you fingers getting dirty. Trongs are plastic and are designed to stick to your fingers. They were made for people that love sticky, messy food and if your food is too hot you can lift it up with these.

They say it’s more efficient to use and you won’t need to use napkins. I wouldn’t use them at all. Would you use Trongs?

My Blog Comment!

Today I had to comment on one of my classmates blog post. I chose Elizabeth's blog about the four winged dinosaur. We had to be cybersmart about what we were going to write and write about the specific things about what was in the blog. We also had to do a question at the end about what you were unsure of or if they had forgotten to write something. It was fun trying to think of something to write for her blog.

A Child Mayor?

A 5 year old child named Bobby Tufts was mayor of a small town called Dorset in Minnesota. He had been running the town for two years but lost the election to 16 year old Eric Mueller.

Bobby was only three when he won the election. The town only has 28 people and is known for a having tourists and no official government. The mayor is chosen from names in a box at the Taste of Dorset Festival. They pay $1 for each vote.

Bobby mayor says the first time he was mayor he declared to be at the top of an ice-cream food pyramid and raise money for the Ronald Mcdonald House Charities. He enjoyed it but he now has to give the job to Eric.

Pakistan's National Symbol

Screenshot 2014-08-05 at 14.08.19.pngI chose this symbol because I thought it would be great to do and it's simple. I also like the moon and star together.

The national symbol was created by a man named Syed Ameer Uddin Kidwai. It was based on the original flag of the muslim league. It was adopted in August 11, 1947 just before the country went independent.
