Summary:
The government opened 5 new marines in the West Coast. They’re called Kahurangi, Punakaiki, Waipu Glacier Coast, Tauparihaka and Hautai. The reserves protect different species.
Opinion:
I think that’s great that they decided to make new marine reserves. It’s also great that they’re protecting Blue Penguins and Hector’s Dolphins because their population is dropping. I’m happy that this will grow the population.

Hi Destiny, I really liked reading your post about the new marines. I hope that the population of the Blue Penguins and Hector’s Dolphins rise soon. But was there any more information on what species they are protecting?
